Do people of Tamil Nadu realize that "Sri Lankan Tamils" are Sri Lankans and not Indians or Indian Tamilians. I know some people would go back to history and say the origins of tamilians in Sri Lanka were from India, But if you start going back to the history, Pakistan was also part of India, would you consider all Pakistanis to be Indians or vice versa..?

Yes, I agree on humanitarian grounds we need to support the affected innocent people there. But the politicians should not use this for vote bank politics. There are way too many issues our govt are yet to solve locally (like power shortage, corruption, good roads, good transport, good hospitals) Leaving all these important issues for tamilians of tamil nadu why are politicians worried abt Sri Lankans.

And please stop comparing Prabhakaran to Indian freedom fighters, none of the Indian freedom fighters stood hiding behind people to fight. All of them went on their own and led the people from the front. Here Prabhakaran is hiding behind so many millions of innocent people and risking their lives. If he loved his fellow tamilians so much he would not let any tamilian die, instead he is killing tamilians and making innocent young boys carry arms and washing their hands with blood.

I understand that this is a very emotional and pitiful thing happening in Sri Lanka, but ALL YOU INDIANS Think before you actually become emotional and sentimental.

Imagine if the same Sri Lankan govt was a Tamil govt and the people trapped with LTTE or who are fighting for eelam were Sinhalese, would people of Tamil Nadu react in the same way as they are reacting now ?

Just because people affected are tamils dont blindly take decisions and support them (LTTE), Think what is right and what is wrong, "Any person in any country taking the law in his own hands is a criminal and has to be punished according to the law of land"...Even Robinhood at the end of the day was a thief... Violence is not a solution, its just a seed sown for tomorrows war.

If this kind of anti-hero worships keep continuing for vote bank politics and putting unnecessary pressures on national and international communities, then there will be a day when Zardari will fast for the release of Qasab and call him a freedom fighter.

Now please dont start a debate asking if iam comparing Prabhakaran to Qasab.

We need to wait and see if the people who are coming in thousands of numbers from the hold of LTTE really beleive Prabhakaran is a good leader and a hero.. Their verdict would be the correct verdict and no matter how many politicians try to make him a hero or zero here for their political gains will not matter. So have patience and let time decide who is a freedom fighter and who is not. But until then let us strive to solve our local issues. Let us save our home from burning down before trying to put off the fire of our neighbours.

Well ablove mentioned is the news I read when i wake up on our Nations's 60th Republic day.

What is the difference between these fanatics and the terrorists who attacked Mumbai.? This kind of activities have been happening in Karnataka for quite some time now, either in the name of religon or in the name of kannada rakshaka vedike. There is no difference between all these groups, they are just different faces of terror trying to ruin the democracy and snatch our freedom.

But i beleive in our country all such fanatics have more freedom than a normal citizen who wants to live a simple life. If it is Raj Thackery and his gang of goons in Mumbai then it is these groups in Karnataka...Who will put an end to this..? Though people hate them and dislike all their activities, The Govt. who is supposed to put an end to all this is just keeping quite because of vote bank politics.

When will our Politicians be daring enough to raise their voice against such goons.? Our politicians are just scared that if they take action they might not get the votes from these bunch of goons and their supporting fanatics..

I was really happy to see the way media had complete control and could shut every politician's mouth during 26/11 and until one month. I really thought the attrocitities of Raj Thackrey would stop after that..but 2 months down the line everything is back to square one. He is back doing his goon business...Same way 2 days down the line when this news is moved to archive, the goons will be back to business to snatch the freedom from simple harmless citizens of India.
I beleive we need more politicians with more courage to tackle such goons instead of being selfish thinking only about the votes and money.

Or we need a miracle from God (whichever religon) to change the mindsets of all these fanatics to be more broadminded and spread love than hatred (which i beleive a true spiritual person who has read the scriptures would do) .

Note to all you fanatics : Nowhere in the holy books (Any religon) is there any mention to kill innocent people, humiliate and torture women in the name of tradition and culture. So please read your Holy books again and get your principles of life right.
